Every Rootistri pasta contains exactly 3 ingredients: whole grain flour (either Khapli Emmer wheat or maize), psyllium husk and water. That's it. No maida, no artificial colours, no preservatives, no emulsifiers, no added sugar. The full ingredients list is printed on every pack.
Cold-pressed pasta is made by forcing dough through a die at low temperatures, without the high heat used in conventional extrusion. Heat degrades heat-sensitive nutrients — particularly proteins, B vitamins and antioxidants. Cold-pressing preserves them.
Yes — our Pepe Bucato shape is specifically designed for this. Cook it in boiling salted water until al dente, then use it exactly as you would use rice in chitranna, puliogare, fried rice, pulao, khichdi or biryani. The Ditalini Rigati works beautifully with thick sauces and gravies.
Khapli (Emmer wheat / Triticum dicoccum) is one of the oldest cultivated grains in human history, farmed in India's Deccan plateau for millennia. It retains more protein, fibre, iron and magnesium than modern refined wheat and has a naturally lower glycaemic index.

All Rootistri dry pasta has a shelf life of 12–18 months when stored in a cool, dry place. No refrigeration needed. Our sealed packaging ensures freshness — without any artificial preservatives.
